Watch Jennifer Garner Bake Her Dog Birthday Treats in an Easy-Bake Oven

Jennifer Garner’s Instagram continues to be one of the most delightful places on the internet, and the levels of joy increase tenfold when fans catch a glimpse of her many, many pets. The Garner household is a full one, including chickens, fish, a cat, and a dog, but it certainly seems like the actress makes time to celebrate big milestones in her animal friends’ lives. Garner shared an Instagram video of her birthday celebration for her dog, Birdie , who is celebrating her sixth birthday, and it’s probably the cutest thing you’ll see all week.

Birdie, a golden retriever rescue, enjoyed a very special treat for her big day: a heart-shaped homemade treat made with love in a souped-up version of everyone’s favorite childhood toy , the Easy-Bake Oven.

Garner whipped up the treat and topped it with some Justin’s All Natural Peanut Butter, placing it on the tiny baking tray before the pair celebrated with some games, including the Garner-created “hide from your dog in plain sight” challenge, the “gasp at your dog” challenge, and the time-honored “call your dog’s name when she’s right next to you” challenge.

Of course, she then retrieved the treat from the Easy-Bake Ultimate Oven, Baking Star Edition ($39.97), which got a modern makeover from its earliest iterations, now coming in white with sparkly gold, pink, purple, and periwinkle accents. Although it has a different look these days, the Easy-Bake Oven still serves as a real convection oven, creating tasty treats in a mere matter of minutes. Pointing out the faux time-stamp on the oven, Garner hilariously noted, “This isn’t the real time. It’s just a decal.”

She placed a lit candle in the center and then waved out the flame herself, joking, “It’s COVID, so you can’t really blow.”

Birdie gobbled up her birthday treat in seconds, and it seems like she had a fabulous day with her mom. Plenty of famous followers took to the comments section of Garner’s post to share in the sweetness, with Ariana Grande writing, “crying. hbd birdie !!!!!!!” and Mindy Kaling summing it all up perfectly, noting, “This is the sweetest thing.”
